Every employer has a duty to ensure that anyone who is liable to disturb asbestos during their normal work, or who supervises those employees, receives the correct level of information, instruction and training so they can work safely and competently without risk to themselves or others.
The Health and Safety Executive expects workers and supervisors to be able to recognise asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and know what to do if they come across them in order to protect themselves and others.
We provides two courses to address these requirements:
- Asbestos Awareness, to enable operators and supervisors to avoid disturbing ACMs
- Non-Licensed Asbestos Removal, including disturbing, removing, cleaning and repairing
