Introduction
2 Cousins Powered Access Ltd is committed to ensuring the company’s operations are undertaken by trained staff, observing safe working practices which are designed to protect the health, safety and welfare of its employees, customers, suppliers, contractors and the public.
Intent
The company will:
- Identify significant risks and introduce all necessary control measures
- Ensure all staff are trained and they are provided with necessary information
- Provide all staff with the right and duty to challenge unsafe practices
- Regularly communicate about all safety matters
- Strive to improve our safety, accident, and health performance through regular reviews of our business, by monitoring our performance and learning from any accident, incident, or near miss that may occur
- Comply with relevant legislation and strive for best practice
- Ensure that all staff are included in our safety culture
- Ensure that adequate health & safety review, risk assessments, and internal audits have been completed to ensure that any hazards are identified and appropriate measures are implemented if necessary
- Ensure that all accidents, incidents, or near misses are reported immediately
- Hold regular meetings to discuss health & safety performance
- Ensure that company health & safety procedures are effectively implemented at each depot
- Ensure staff wear protective clothing as required and use any equipment provided for its intended use
This policy will be communicated to all employees and organisations working on our behalf and displayed at our offices and on our intranet. This policy is available to defined interested parties.
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner by senior management to ensure its suitability. Where necessary it will be amended, reissued, and communicated to all employees and people working on its behalf.
